Christina O’Brien’s website layout is diffrent from the ones bellow as it is sectioned with bright photos and diffrent font for each square makeing it more eye catching to the vewier. The pictures are vibrant with bold font that attracts the audience, they are all categorised in the diffrent styles that Christina works in. It’s also a simple structure and is easy to understand and use and make your way around the site. It communicates with the audience as it shows what kind of photography style Christina O’Brien uses.

This website confused me at first as I wasn’t too sure where to go or how to use it however the slide show of photos communicate that this photographer mostly uses portraiture/landscape but makes there photos diffrent and creative. On the home page there is a variety of photos in the same style he uses but makes every image unique makeing it very clear what kind of stye of photography he uses.

The lay out is not that simple but it is really nice and easy. His style of photography is portraiture but he also does alot of events such as dance and boxing etc, his photos are presented extremely well makeing them a really passionate image. The website is a nice one to look at as it goes through a variety of diffrent photos which is really nice and affective.

This website is my favourite as the little caption on the bottom ‘we want to change the world’ highlights what the photographer is about, and he likes to tell stories as he has said on his website but it’s also clear to see that he works with company’s also. The navigation is all at the bottom which makes the first thing you see is his photos which again gains the the viewer attention drawing them in more.

Out of all the websites i really like the layout off Christina O’brien’s site as its simple and you get to see a variety of photo’s instead of sitting and watching the slide shows, its also easy to use and you get to see the kind off style the photographer uses. this is the kind off layout i would like to use on my site, i’d also like the idea of an inspiring caption which means something to the work and to the viewers like RANKIN’s site.

Instagram is a very popular social network starting off with 10 million users at the time but now instagram has 1 billion user’s worldwide ,originally it was an app called Burbn which allowed people to check-in where they are on the mobile app, Burbn eventually developed into the site we know now as instagram.

Instagram over the years has added new features and has changed their logo. When changing their logo Ian who designed instagram spent 2-3 months re-creating the logo, by doing this he got his team to draw the original logo from memory and when looking at what people drew he saw the most common thing people remembered was the rainbow at the top and the lense of the camera and the square shape , so in conclusion he came up with multiple new designs some were too bold and too much and he wanted something much simpler and that is why all the new features have been added and changed instagram completely for the better.

The reason behind wanting the app so simple is from user experience, as when someone wants to go on the app they would like to know what to do and find it easier to guess and learn instead of having something much more complicated to use and understand. Which is why it’s so popular because it’s so simple to use.

However instagram has gone from just posting pictures to now competing on who has the most followers and likes which causes anxiety and people feeling down about themselves, which is what instagram is not about, it is originally about sharing photos which you get Different perspectives from and seeing the world through other people’s eyes. Instagram has also gained a new feature which is a bottomless scroll where you can scroll and scroll and the page never ends not giving people to have a stopping que.

No matter how much instagram changes for the best of the US experience the biggest challenge for instagram is staying instagram.

Some features of wordpress include:

▪Show and hide things using screen options : this is helpful as it allows you to simplify your admin page which makes things much more simple and easier to use.

▪Move and add or delete dashboard widgets: the dashboard page has shortcuts to different sections of your website, in my opinion it’s a good feature as you can rearrange your page to make it easier for you to find and make it much more easy for you to understand and use.

▪Paste URL to make links in visual editor: this is good as when the viewer is reading your article/blog and they find a a link they can easily click on it and it will give them more information.

▪Preview themes without activating them: in my opinion I really like this feature as first setting up your website you want it to look appealing and attract the viewers, so with previewing you can select the one you like best.

▪Edit images in wordpress: this is a simple yet great feature as if your not happy about your image as if it’s the wrong size or horizontal when it’s supposed to be vertical etc then you can easily and quickly re-size it and crop it to how you wanted it to be.

▪Markdown and keyboard shortcuts: You can either use this or not but in my opinion it’s great as it helps you write faster and get your work done much quicker.

Some features of Instagram include:

▪At this moment of time instagram or testing of removing likes: in my opinion this feature will be great as people mostly post for likes and if they don’t get so many they get insicure and it puts people down so this feature will help as it could give people motivation to post and not put themselves down anymore.

▪Stories: This feature I like as instead of posting everything you do on your profile it lasts 24hr (unless it’s highlighted then what you post on your story stays on your profile) you get to see what people are up too and also there is a feature on stickers where people can request music and songs which is really nice as you get an insight on what other people like to listern too.

▪Private messages/message requests: message requests are a brilliant feature as if there is someone you don’t know that messages you, Instagram sends you a notification letting you know either you can accept the message request or ignore it and delete it.

▪Hashtags: if you use a Hashtag name from a hashtag page people who follow that will see your work as you have used the Hashtag such as if your using it to promote your business or photography /music etc it can be shared quickly around the world for other people to see and like.

The Hasselblad cameras have been around since world war two. The year 1940 the Swedish air force was struggling to equip themselves with the right aerial tools, a 34-year-old called victor had made a reputation of himself as a camera expert.  He had published several articles on photography and technical issues, and of course, his family’s name was on the most successful photo supply chain in the country. It was almost a given that the Swedish military would turn to Victor for help. An intact German aerial surveillance camera was recovered on Swedish soil, becoming the inspiration for the HK-7. His brother Hasselblad which is how the camera got its name, reversed the engineering the German camera which is the very first Hasselblad camera. Which he wanted to design so it could perfectly fit in his hand which he did.

• The contrast of the photo creates depth within the detail being shown of the moon rock floor and sharpens the reflection in the helmet creating an image within an image.
• The shadows define the highlights of the structure’s of the rock and the suit although it may not be all clear it still creates a beautiful image.

120mm is better than 35mm film because 35mm film is small but portable but collects less details unlike 120mm film that collects more of what your taking the photo off and The first square format camera was made by Rollei in 1929. The square format camera has been used by a lot of photographers such as Richard Avedon, Irving Penn, and Diane Arbus. Hasselblad who was the mark of choice for many photographers, used the square format in its film camera from 1948-2002.

as you can see below 120mm shows more on the photo and its more defined unlike 35mm.

Lomography is style of pop photography based on the quirky cameras by Austrain camera manufacter known as Lomo.

Diana camera is an inspiration of the 1960’s it creates beautiful photos that cast colors and and shadows within taking the photo. Giving it a vintage style in my opinion its beautiful and its a brilliant style.

The Diana camera is a plastic bodied toy camera using 120 rollfilm and 35 mm film. The camera has a simple plastic meniscus lens.The Diana frequently suffers from light leaks, film advance issues, and other problems. however it still creates beautiful pictures giving it a retro look for example:
